| PROFILE |
At the age of twelve, Greg Garman decided to make drumming a life long endeavor.
His mother started playing drums while she was about 5 months pregnant with him.
Along the musical journey, Greg won a local drum competition in his hometown, San
Luis Obispo, Ca, and furthermore decided to enroll himself into the Musicians
Institute in Hollywood, CA. While attending MI, Greg received instruction from
world?renowned teachers such as Fred Dinkins, Rob Carson, and Chuck Silverman.
Acknowledging his efforts, he was awarded a second place prize for the Stanley
Clark Scholarship in 2007. Through the scholarship, his band was included in an
episode of Lincon Heights on ABC Family. After completing school with an
Associates of Arts in contemporary drumming, Greg set out on a three?month tour,
performing 80 shows in 100 days, across 33 states, to help benefit the VHI Save the
Music Foundation. Followed by another two?month nationwide tour sponsored by
Grockit (online test prep resource). Currently, Greg is playing drums in Selena
Gomez and the Scene, teacher assisting at Musicians Institute, and teaching private
lessons.
