Paul's career as a percussionist encompasses the fields of performance, composition and education. a Graduate of Sam Houston State University (B.M. in Music Education) and Berklee College of Music (B.M. in Film Scoring), Paul has taught numerous high school and competetive groups while performing and recording with a mutlitude of artists including: Chaka Kahn, Nelly Furtado, Richi Kotzen, Dave Samuels, Joy Enriquez, Cherie and many more. His sounds can be found on many albums, commercials, tv shows and films. Among his influences are Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Giovani Hidalgo, Horacin Hernandez and Buddy Rich.
After completing the Cherie/Clay Aiken summer tour (which was capped off
with a television performance at the US Open on CBS), Paul Alexander Gonzalez is now touring with international pop superstar Paulina Rubio. |
