| INFLUENCES |
| My very first drumming influence was John Bonham. My older brother gave me a couple of Led Zeppelin tapes when I was 7 years old, and I fell in love. In high school I got really into William Goldsmith of Sunny Day Real Estate and Jeff Kropp of Hun. While in the Chicago area in high school, I started playing guitar and singing in a band with a great drummer (Ben Kane), who I would have to say is the reason I ever became a credible drummer. I would watch him during practices and we would air-drum together to songs we loved. |
| ADVICE TO ASPIRING MUSICIANS |
| Be committed but also be realistic. Recognize your musical talents. If you don't have great talents in playing music or performing, find something you can do well and do it. Know your strengths and accentuate them. know your weaknesses and work on them. Work, work, work. |
